Ukulele Strum Along – MAUI & Andrew Wilke

Bring your ukulele or sing along in this participatory event – chords and lyrics provided. MAUI, Madison Area Ukulele Initiative, is an 1800 member ukulele club coordinated by Andrew Wilke. A dozen MAUI strummers lead us through easy, familiar songs with a variety of strum patterns. Enjoyment, fun, and musical community are our priorities 🙂 Free, loaner ukuleles available!
Instrument Petting Zoo

The Hawthorne Neighborhood Association and the Hawthorne Community School are partnering with the MAMAs to provide an opportunity for students to listen to and learn about a variety of musical instruments. Youth can touch and play the instruments under the supervision of educated volunteers.

About the Performer: Addi Faerber leads handpan jam nights, introduction to handpan workshops, and in-person lessons. She performs with the Wellspring Collective, a cello, voice and handpan trio that supports healing through sound. Addi’s journey to learning handpan started as physical therapy to heal her wrist, but lead into a lifelong passion for this beautiful instrument. Addi is also representative for Isthmus Instruments, a local handpan producer.
