Chris Wagoner and Mary Gaines have been woven into the fabric of local Madison and regional Midwest music scene for almost four decades as music teachers, session musicians and founding members of many of Madison's favorite bands: Harmonious Wail, Common Faces, Bob Westfall Band, Moon Gypsies, Graminy, The Stellanovas and Gaines & Wagoner. Madison Area Music Award (MAMAs) Lifetime Achievement Award and Hall of Fame recipients and multiple WAMI award winners including 2023 Violinist of the Year, Gaines & Wagoner play original and vintage jazz, blues and Americana on a variety of stringed instruments: violins, mandolins, lapsteel, ukulele, guitar, cello, bass, paired with award-winning vocals.
