Miscellaneous Owl

miscellaneous owl is the solo project of Madison singer-songwriter Huan-Hua Chye, who also performs in the indie pop band Gentle Brontosaurus. Her 2024 album “You Are the Light that Casts a Shadow” was named #4 in Rosy Overdrive’s top 100 albums of the year, and was described by Trilobite Polka Review as having “Lyrics like punchlines that are smart enough to make you weep.” The eclectic arrangements of her album recordings are rendered with ethereal, haunting vocals and intricate fingerpicking in her live performances.
