Hyrule Winds - Woodwind Quintet of the Madison Gamer Symphony Orchestra

Hyrule Winds is the newly formed woodwind quintet of the Madison Gamer Symphony Orchestra, featuring Dr. Ben Carlee, flute; Dr. Kristen Diederichs, oboe; Dr. Stephen Dubetz, clarinet; Sarah Ellenbecker, bassoon; and guest William Beimers, French horn. Making its debut at Make Music Madison, the ensemble brings together the principal winds of MGSO, who are educators and arts leaders from across Wisconsin with backgrounds in orchestral performance, chamber music, higher education, and community engagement. Members have performed with ensembles including Video Games Live, the Cleveland Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, Oshkosh Symphony, and international touring ensembles, while also appearing at national festivals and conferences. United by a shared love of storytelling through music, Hyrule Winds explores music from video games, creating performances that are welcoming, engaging, and rooted in the spirit of collaboration that defines MGSO.
