People With Strings

People With Strings is a group of six (Mary Welch, Laura Lang, Cathy Chenoweth, Greg Lampe, Robert Washburn, Ken Keeley) who love to play groovy music together. Though they all wanted dibs on the washboard and kazoo, they play a wide variety of instruments including guitar, keys, ukulele, banjolele, bass, cello guitar, harmonica, cajon, and maybe even a frying pan! With four singers, sometimes together, sometimes solo, they cover an eclectic mix of songs. Leaning towards the Americana-Folk genre with some rock, blues, country and jug thrown in, you might hear an indie folk song, a toe-tappin’ jug band tune or a country crooner ballad. Audiences enjoy our fun loving show and the connection we make with them and each other!
