Chundou Her

Chundou Her was born and raised in the Madison area. Their music explores themes of love and joy in the face of marginalization and oppression such as racism, sexism, and homophobia. Much of their music invites youth as collaborators in the writing process and performing process as a way of “giving back” to young musicians because music was such a big part of Chundou’s life growing up. Chundou hopes their work can inspire more children to tell their stories through arts and also heal the “inner children” in adults.
